Zen transcends language, colors, sounds, smells, tastes, touch, and thought. It cannot be expressed through these means. Most importantly, it cannot be captured by thought. Yet, humans have no other forms of expression beyond language, painting, facial expressions, drama, and physical gestures — even if these forms exist, they would not truly represent Zen. Zen cannot be expressed through any human-conceived means — rather it manifests when humans abandon fanatical thinking and imagination.
