Xitang (Chinese Edition)

The corridor sheds in Xitang are the buildings unique to the ancient town. The wooden poles standing along the river support the simple wood roof trusses with tile roof, which provide shelter from sun and rain and stretche over one kilometer along the river, covering main riverfront streets in the town. In every festival, red lanterns are hung up under the eaves and they invert reflections in water like stars in the setting sun, adding the joyful atmosphere.
