W.L. Weller Full Proof Bourbon (750Ml)

Another bottle straight from the Buffalo Trace Distillery is W.L. Weller’s Full Proof Bourbon. It is named after William Larue Weller, the mind behind using wheat instead of rye to make a smoother, softer style of bourbon. 

There’s a lot to like about this bottle. Seasoned pros will tell you about them. Bottled at 114 proof, wheated mash, American oak casks… The list can go on. That’s why we weren’t surprised when we learned that W.L. Weller Full Proof Bourbon has received 49 awards - to date. Let’s name a few. It took home the Ultimate Spirits Challenge’s Chairman's Trophy in 2021, a Double Gold Medal at the 2023 New York World Spirits Competition, and even won the Masters Award in the 2023 American Whiskey Masters.

What’s to love? A profile of vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak. You also get a finish that’s long, with notes of crème brûlée and chocolate. This bottle is great for the more advanced straight bourbon sippers.
