ECOMIX Softener/Filter is used for treatment of problematic well water that has iron, manganese, hardness, tannins. May also be used with chlorinated city water with max 1 ppm chlorine or with pre-treatment with carbon. ECOMIX is an advanced softening material for the reduction of hardness, iron, manganese and tannins from potable water. The media is regenerated in the same manner as a standard water softener with sodium chloride available as standard salt pellets at any local hardware store. ECOMIX has the ability to reduce ferrous and organic iron by adsorption and oxidation on the surface of the media. System comes standard with a SXT backwash control valve internally sized to your specific model flow requirements and a big blue sediment pre-filter that removes sand, grit, precipitated mineral particles, insoluble iron oxide and other debris down to 5 microns. Can be used for both residential and commercial / industrial applications. We recommend installation by a licensed plumber to insure adherence to all local codes.
