As a moonshiner from Climax Virginia, Smith’s rebellious nature didn't keep him from becoming a legitimate moonshine authority. With four centuries of whiskey-making ancestors and 30 years of experience, Tim Smith crafts this once elusive spirit for all to enjoy. At the Belmont Farm Distillery, Climax Moonshine is produced in a genuine copper pot still instead of a massive column one. This Pot still whiskey is handled slowly and with great care, resulting in the fine aroma and taste of fresh whiskey. Tim Smith Southern Reserve comes from a Smith’s double rye recipe he’s perfected over the years in partnership with Two Trees Distilling. A beautiful amber color, Tim Smith Southern Reserve Bourbon is a mild rye blend with a high sweet corn ratio. The palate offers notes of caramelized sugar and vanilla which shift into a pleasing, soft wheat flavor. The finish lingers with hints of sweet honey.
