Dual Boiler with Built-In PID & Shot Timer

The internal structure of the Rocket R58 Cinquantto Espresso Machine is similar to its previous model. It features a dual boiler with a built-in PID for maintaining highly accurate internal boiler temperatures. However, unlike competing machines, the PID is not located in the same place as the shot timer display.

The new Rocket R58 Cinquantotto features two simultaneous displays of the shot timer. This is consistent with other Rocket Espresso machines in the line, with a discreet timer located to the left of the commercial E61 group. The new PID and machine controller also displays the timer, making it easy to read on the high contrast touchscreen located to the left of the machine.

Impressive Recovery Time & Steam Power

A common inquiry when discussing home espresso machines is their recovery time after making drinks. The Rocket R58 is known for its exceptional speed in recovering, standing out among our lineup.

Two main technical specifications that are going to contribute to speedy recovery are:

1. How powerful are the heating elements? On the R58 Cinquantotto, the steam boiler’s heating element is up to 33% more powerful than other dual boilers at the same price point!
2. How large are the boilers? The Rocket R58’s boilers collectively are larger than other machines in its class by up to 11%!

Touch Screen Controller

The Rocket R58 Cinquantotto Espresso Machine has been significantly upgraded with a new and improved PID controller. Unlike its predecessor, this controller can be easily programmed and no longer needs to be stored away. This improved design reflects the expertise of Rocket Espresso and their commitment to excellence.

The new controller is an incredibly user-friendly and well-designed touchscreen controller. You can perform the following functions in the touch of the screen:

• Turn your steam boiler off if you’re not using it.
• Turn the machine on or off.
• Displays low water along with the shot timer, the green status light also flashes when the reservoir is removed or has low water.
• Change the water source the machine is pulling from.
• Change Steam Boiler Temperature
• Change Brew Boiler Temperature
• Set the 7-day programmable timer, easily copy settings from day-to-day.
• Set the ECO mode to on/off (this feature is disabled if the 7-day programmable timer is enabled)
• Display shot timer

The Rocket R58 Cinquantotto Espresso Machine features a touchscreen PID controller on the left side, allowing for easy control of its numerous functions. The controller can be removed, if desired, without affecting the machine's capabilities, as in previous models.

Plumbable

Making the Rocket Espresso R58 even more flexible are it’s plumbing options. It can easily be used in a reservoir, pour-over mode, or plumbed directly to a water source. To switch between water sources, you can make the change right on the touch screen controller.

Included with the Rocket R58 Cinquantotto is most of what you need to plumb and drain your R58. In the box, there is a braided water line that will connect directly to the bottom of your Rocket Espresso R58. Three is also silicone tubing included to drain the drip tray, but it is unnecessary to do so if you do not want to drill another hole in your counter and you’d like to dump the trip tray, which is relatively large.  

Auto On - Seven Day Programmable Timer

The seven-day programmable timer on the Rocket R58 Cinquantotto Espresso Machine is impressively easy to program. This is made possible by the introduction of the touchscreen controller, which allows you to set specific on and off times twice a day according to your schedule. These settings can vary for each day of the week, but if you have a consistent routine, you can simply copy the settings across days that you want to be the same. The auto on feature also turns off the ECO mode, which conserves energy by shutting off the steam boiler after 30 minutes. To reactivate the boiler, simply lift the brew lever and it will quickly heat up to your desired temperature, as set on the PID.

No-Burn Wands

Stainless steel hot water and steam wands come with teflon tubing inside which replaces the previously used silicone (effective 2020)
