[PREORDER] Stargate SG-1 - Polyresin Statue

This is a replica of the original stargate from Stargate SG-1, also known as the Alpha Gate.

The gates were developed over 50 million years ago by the Ancients and can be used to open wormholes between different planets and even different galaxies. The Ancients called them Astria Porta and seeded them throughout the Pegasus and Milky Way galaxies. When the Goa'uld took control of them they called them Chappa'ai, which Daniel Jackson translated as "stargate".

The gate used by SG-1 was buried by the ancient Egyptians after they overthrew the Goa'uld Ra. It was uncovered in 1928 and was eventually powered up at a secret facility in Cheyenne Mountain. It has nine chevrons and 39 glyphs that can be used to dial the address of thousands of inhabited planets.

The model is made of a high quality polystone, which holds the detail exceptionally well. The gate itself has a diameter of 9.25 inches (23.5 cm). It is an individual piece that can be slotted into the display stand, which bears the SG-1 symbol from the planet Earth.
