A rich tasting classic Highland malt double matured in casks which previously held Montilla Fino sherry.
Oban Distillery was established in 1794 and is one of the oldest working malt whisky distilleries in Scotland. Oban Distillery is situated in the centre of the town of Oban on Scotland west coast. The distillery is equipped with just two stills is one of the very few distilleries to operate with traditional worm tubs. Visitors are welcome at the Oban Distillery visitor centre where tours of the distillery are available.
Sweeter than usual on the palate, rich fruit flavours are nonetheless complemented by a typical briny character. The finish is long with the influence of Montilla Fino cask-wood.
