Casting Cannon Finger Assist

Guard your casting finger against braided line abrasion with this mechanical line-holding device. The No1 Casting Cannon redirects pressure from your finger to a precision trigger mechanism, enabling harder casts with heavy weights while eliminating painful line burns. Install permanently via thread wrapping and epoxy, or use electrical or hockey tape for temporary attachment. Simply loop your line around the trigger, engage the lock, open your bail, and release during the cast for extended distance and superior control on demanding surfcasting applications.

How the Casting Cannon works

  • Attaches to the rod: It's mounted near the reel, often with cable ties, tape, or permanently wrapped. (You may want to mount slightly twisted away from reel for person setup comfort)
  • Load the line: Open the reel's bail, pull off line, loop it around the cannon's "finger" or trigger, and close the trigger to hold it. (You may want to loop line onto finger twice but just be careful)
  • Cast: Perform your normal cast, and at the release point, simply let go of the trigger (or lift your finger slightly), and the device releases the line for a powerful cast.
Benefits: Eliminates painful line cuts from braided line and helps achieve greater casting distance, especially with heavy weights.
  • When Power Casting make sure your Drag Knob is set very tight. (This will help to prevent line slippage)

Casting Cannon Key Features

  • Finger protection: Prevents damage and burns from heavy lines.
  • Increased distance: Allows for more power transfer than using just your finger.
  • Installation: Can be temporary (tape/ties) or permanent (wrapped).
