Function The MouseBlocker 1000x uses modern micro-electronics technology outputting 2 types of special ultrasonic waves simultaneously. These waves act upon the hearing and nervous system of rodents making them unpleasant and uncomfortable. This unit is designed to drive the mice away from protected areas. The frequencies output from the 1000x are constantly changing and alternating eliminating the chance of rodents adapting to the sound. Coverage Area The MouseBlocker 1000x is a very high output device covering up to 1000 square feet with a clear line of site. Since the unit operates off sound, the noise will not go thru walls or solid objects. Place the unit with speakers facing open space free of obstructions Operation Methods Plug one end of the included power cord into the power socket on the left rear side of the unit. Plug the other end of the power cord into any available 110v power outlet. After pluggin the unit into power, it will start working imediately. The green power light should be on solid and the blue ultrasonic light should be flashing/blinking according to the sound output. Testing output: There is a green test button on the back of the unit. Pressing this button will amplify the ultra sonic noise to an audible level. This noise is very loud and confirms that the microproccessor is working properly. Precautions 1. Never use the device outdoors, in high temperature locations or damp locations. 2. The MouseBlocker 1000x should be used continuously without stopping to be effective. 3. There should be no obstructions in front of the unit. Ultrasonic noises will not pass thru hard objects. 4. There are four loud speakers installed in three directions so the device should be installed along a wall, with the back facing a wall for optimal effectiveness. 5.It is normal if the device gets warm to the touch. 6.The effects of this unit will be seen immediately as soon as the device is powered on. The unit will be most effective after using it continuously for 3-4 weeks. Sometimes the mice may be more active during the begining of use showing that the rodents are irritated. After using the unit for a prolong period of time the mice will begin to dissapear.
