The Maine Highlands is located within the heart of the State of Maine. Stretching from Bangor north into Aroostook County it contains our longest river, the Penobscot, our largest lake, Moosehead, and our highest peak, Mount Katahdin.  It is an amazing place to visit if you are into the outdoors.
