Lalocura is one of the most respected producers in Santa Catarina Minas, the Oaxacan town known for its ancestral clay-pot distillation tradition. Carreño continues his father Lorenzo Ángeles’ work using stone-and-clay ovens, copper-and-clay stills, and rigorously traditional methods. The Pechuga is ceremonially produced for special occasions in Mexican agave-spirits culture.
