The Kensington Breakaway halter features a breakaway safety measure. Below the buckle on the crown, a thin piece of leather is attached that will break under high pressure, allowing the horse to escape if he pulls back, rears, or bolts. This will prevent injuries to your horse, and damage to your property. This halter features hardware including an adjustable strap and bucket at the crown and nose, and a snap at the throat for easy on and off. We have created a sturdy halter by using double stitching throughout the halter, box stitching at sensitive points, double folding the 1 nylon everywhere except for the hardware locations where it is triple folded, heat treating the holes to prevent fraying, and lining the nose and cheeks with Textilene.
