  These high quality Gimlet tools are hardened to the end of the flute, & the screw thread is specially annealed to make sure that it is not easily broken. The double spiral flutes are machined, rather than twisted, & will quickly & easily allow wood chips to clear the hole. Commonly used to bore shallow holes in wood, usually for screws. Keep a set in the house, in the kitchen, & with your garden tools. An inexpensive, traditional, & extremely useful tool!   Made in France.
