El Ateo Blanco Tequila

El Ateo Blanco Tequila is produced at Plantaciones Tequilana (NOM 1635), a small, family-owned distillery in Los Altos, Arandas, Jalisco — the only brand made there. The agave is family-owned and grown in Guanajuato state, then transported to the distillery where it is brick-oven cooked and tahona-crushed, a method used by fewer than 30 tequilas in the world. The juice is double-distilled in stainless steel pot stills fitted with copper coils and bottled without additives, certified by Tequila Matchmaker.

The blanco presents a vivid expression of Los Altos agave character. Fresh green bell pepper and raw agave define the nose, followed by citrus zest and a lift of pineapple and mango. On the palate, roasted agave and green pepper carry the mid-weight body alongside white pepper heat and underlying mineral notes. The finish is long, tropical, and dry, with agave and pepper lingering well after the last sip.
