History
Christian Drouin Calvados Selection is crafted as a unique spirit woven into the history and culture of Chile. They were born during the 17th Century in a valley of the Andean Mountain Range of Northern Chile. Pisco and Alto originated in a pristine environment unlike any other on earth. The region’s rich volcanic soil and ideal climate contribute to the exceptional quality of the grapes used in this production. Pisco Capel and Alto del Carmen are produced by Cooperative Agricola y Pisquera Elqui Ltda., in the Elqui Valley, 350 miles north of Santiago. This area has a long-standing tradition of distillation, with methods passed down through generations, making each sip of the Calvados Selection a taste of history and craftsmanship.
