Barrel Sample. This estate under the tutelage of the Baron Philippe de Rothschild family gets better and better. This vintage, with a high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon has dense juicy acidity that shows great ripeness as well as fine succulence. The wine should age well.

Very fruity with strawberry and currants on the nose. Full bodied, with silky tannins and a long, fruity finish. Notes of toasted oak and spice develop on the palate, but this still needs some bottle age. Pull the cork after 2013.
