The Butterfly Kong Linghui blade was created in conjunction with Grand Slam Champion (1995 World Cup, 1995 World Table Tennis Championships, and 2000 Olympics), Kong Linghui. This all-wood 5-ply blade has a medium feel and really shines when utilized in close-to-the-table play. The Kong Linghui, much like its namesake, excels at quick spin-play over the table, while maintaining excellent touch on pushes, serves, flips, and blocks. In order to really accentuate the play near the table, recommended rubbers include Butterfly Dignics 05, Tenergy 05, and Tenergy 25. Players interested in looping/countering topspin with sharp trajectories over the table have perfect options in either Butterly Tenergy 25 (slightly better for countering and smashing) or Tenergy 05 (slightly better for allround offensive play). Dignics 05 will have more speed and spin than these Tenergy options, along with a denser sponge and slightly higher throw angle. To add more grip to this blade, you can get the Soft Grip Tape, providing grip and comfort to the racket handle. Another great choice to extend the longevity of your racket is adding side tape to the blade, protecting the wood in the event it is hit on the table.
