Atkinson's Funnel Cake Mix 2 lb

Did you ever go to the State Fair, the circus, the street festival or some other community event and buy a hot, crispy funnel cake?  Did you ever wish you could satisfy your funnel cake craving at home?  Well, now you can.  They've taken this famous No. 810 Funnel Cake Mix that concessionaires have bought for years, and packed it in smaller bags for folks like you to use at home.

Just mix Atkinson's Funnel Cake Mix with cold water to about the consistency of thick catsup.  Pour a small stream of batter from a pitcher, a small funnel or a squeeze bottle (catsup bottles work well), into about an inch of 400 degree frying shortening.  It helps if you use an electric frying pan so you can control the temperature better.  Loop the stream together into any kind of design you like to make your own creation.  Brown on both sides and coat with 10X powdered sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

You can also experiment by adding all kinds of flavors to the batter or serve them as alternate toppings.  You'll be the envy of the neighborhood when you serve Atkinson's funnel cakes.
